I'm Joshua Potvin, a structural engineering graduate and a recent addition to the team at Rivard Engineering. I'm early in my career and eager to learn. I am soaking up everything I can about how structures are built in practice in hopes to merge engineering design and practical constructability.

What I love most is making detailed design as effortless as possible to produce. I build clear, repeatable design documents that ask only for the inputs that actually matter. Finding a way to code engineering intuition to reduce the necessary inputs and provide faster designs. Strip out the noise, surface the essentials, and let engineering intuition do the rest.
